thanksgiving was in new mexico this year. i love my time in my home state. while there my mom and i ventured into roswell and had lunch and some much needed mom/daughter time. on our way to get coffee, i spied the leatherman. i had seen him countless times before on past trips. in fact i said to josh, the next time i was in town i was going to pay him a visit and ask for a photograph. i had completely forgotten about him until we drove by and i saw him standing and watching the traffic go by. my mom cruised around the block and parked and waiting while i snapped these:

i loved his dog, he was the first to greet me as i walked up. i was so glad to have finally gotten this man’s (and his pooch’s) photograph. i learned so much about him and where he grew up. his work was beautiful….wish i would have thought to snap some of it before leaving. maybe the next time i am visiting!
